March into spring
It's a busy month, with so much to do. As we transition into spring, enjoy these time-saving tactics and fresh spring things to make your March a breeze.
1. Great time to go green
Green is everywhere for St. Patrick's Day (March 17). What a great time to review your family's green practices. Let's start with food waste. For example, do you donate extra food items to a local pantry? Are you actively reducing the amount of food waste you throw in the trash by eating or freezing leftovers? If you are, then "top o' the morning to you!" Not only is living greener great for the planet, it'll save you some green, too.Next tip
2. Explore the Great Outdoors
Celebrate being out of hibernation! Get outside and do fun spring things like host a nature walk, take Fido to the dog park or volunteer at a local shelter.Next tip
3. Spring Clean
Now that the slush and snow is finally melting, it's the perfect chance to organize for a new season. Use checklists to target the areas of your home that could use a deep clean. Don't worry about areas that have been recently cleaned and dedicate your energy to the areas that have been overlooked during the winter months.Next tip
4. Be a Crowd Pleaser
Whether you are watching March Madness with friends this year or have kids home on Spring Break, Gwaltney's Memphis Barbeque Style Pulled Pork is a great solution for feeding a crowd. It's quick, delicious and you won't miss a second of good times or great plays.Next tip
5. Tackle a New Horizon
March 20th is the first day of spring. Celebrate the season by turning over a healthy new leaf. As a family, get outside and do some exercise. (One suggestion could be a hiking adventure.) Whatever you choose to do it's sure to be a family hit because you are having fun together, you're all getting healthier and the nights, at last, are getting lighter.Next tip
