Ham Cooking Instructions
To cook your ham, we recommend the following instructions for best results. Improper heating or overheating tends to dry out the ham.
Spiral Sliced Ham
Heating
Preheat oven to 250°F. Remove all packaging materials and place ham face down directly into baking dish or roasting pan. (Place whole ham on its side.) Cover tightly with lid, foil or place in cooking bag and heat at 250°F for approximately 12 – 15 minutes per pound. (Estimated heating times: Half ham—approx. 2 hours; Whole ham—approx. 3 hours.)
Glazing Ham
If you intend to glaze your ham, remove ham from the oven ½ hour before end of heating time recommended above. Prepare your favorite ham glaze and brush evenly over the surface of the warm ham. (For a thicker coating, allow glaze to cool 4 – 5 minutes before applying to ham.) If ham was placed in cooking bag, carefully cut bag open and pull away from ham, then apply glaze. Heat glazed ham uncovered at 250°F for 25 to 30 minutes. Remove glazed ham from oven and serve. Heating times may vary.
Pan Fry Heating Instructions
Remove wrapper. Apply your favorite glaze if desired. Heat steak in a preheated pan at medium setting. Heat approximately 3 minutes each side for ham steaks or approximately 8 minutes each side for thick cut steaks. Heat until product center reaches 160°F.
Grill/Broil Heating Instructions
Remove wrapper. Apply your favorite glaze if desired. Preheat grill/broiler. Set broiler pan 3 inches from heat. Heat approximately 3 minutes each side for ham steaks or approximately 5 minutes each side for thick cut steaks. Heat until product center reaches 160°F.
Microwave Heating Instructions
Remove wrapper. To prevent curling, make several cuts in edge of steak. Place on microwave safe dish and cover with paper towel. Use high setting and heat ham steaks for approximately 4 – 5 minutes or thick cut steaks for approximately 6 – 7 minutes. Heat until product center reaches 160°F. Apply your favorite glaze if desired.
NOTE: To ensure a juicy, tender ham, do not overheat.

Preheat oven to 325°F. Remove ham from refrigerator and all packaging materials. Place ham face down directly into baking dish or roasting pan. Cover tightly with lid or foil and heat for approximately 20 minutes per lb. or until product center reaches 160°F.
